Introducing Lyndsey! Lyndsey has a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Education, and Master of Education degrees from Acadia University. She has over a decade of teaching experience and has served as a fine arts advisor for Grande Prairie Regional College (now Northwestern Polytechnic). Currently, she works closely with Acadia University’s music and education programs and serves on the board for the Nova Scotia Band Association and Quick As A Wink Theatre Society. Lyndsey teaches high school music, drama, and computer programming in Nova Scotia. As someone who struggled with undiagnosed ADHD for most of her life, Lyndsey is dedicated to removing barriers to learning, while also embracing the strengths of the learners she works with. Introducing Maigan! Maigan began her post-secondary educational journey at the University of Northern British Columbia where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and physics. She then went on to complete her Master of Science degree in astronomy at Saint Mary’s University. During her time as a student, she began tutoring, hosting workshops for students, and providing scribing support for students experiencing disability-related barriers to learning. Introducing Dawn! Dawn has a Bachelor of Education specializing in English, a Bachelor in Special Education, and a Master of Education in Literacy Education. With two decades of experience as an educational professional, Dawn currently works as an Instructional Resource Teacher in Newfoundland. As an individual with ADHD, Dawn has lived experience navigating barriers to learning. She is friendly and approachable and enjoys helping others develop effective organizational systems and remain motivated in their studies. Her personal experience fuels her passion for assisting those who may face similar challenges in their academic pursuits. Her favourite hobbies include reading, journalling, hiking with her three dogs, and binge-watching reality TV! She firmly believes in the potential for academic success with the right support. Dawn emphasizes breaking down barriers in education, stressing the importance of connections in achieving success.
