LEARNING COACH & ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIST
Tammy is an Assistive Technologist and Learning Coach with extensive experience supporting post-secondary students with disabilities. She holds a Master of Education in Student Affairs and an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Applied Learning Disability Studies from Cambrian College. She has worked in post-secondary accessibility services since 2017.
Tammy has experience supporting students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and disabilities related to vision, hearing or mobility. She draws on her background in assistive technology and learning strategies to help students develop approaches that work for them and support greater independence in their learning. Tammy takes a practical and individualized approach to coaching. She works collaboratively with students to understand the barriers they are experiencing and identify strategies and tools that reflect their strengths and learning environment. She is passionate about helping students better understand how they learn, build confidence in their abilities and become stronger self-advocates.
Outside of work, Tammy enjoys music, spending time with her three children and discovering new places to explore with her family.
