LEARNING COACH
Sabeen (she/her) has a Master of Arts in Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and a Master of Sciences in Public Health Sciences from the University of Waterloo.
Sabeen began her teaching journey as an Assistant Language Teacher in Northern Japan with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. After returning to Ontario, she continued developing her teaching skills as a K-8 teacher with the Peel District School Board and a 9-12 teacher with the Waterloo District School Board. Most recently, Sabeen has worked with post-secondary students as a teaching assistant at the University of Waterloo. Her experiences as both a learner and a teacher inform her approach to supporting post-secondary students. As a coach, Sabeen is committed to using a student-centered approach to support students to thrive in the post-secondary environment and reach their academic goals.
In her spare time, Sabeen enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction, hiking local trails in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge area, gardening, and trying new restaurants with her family.
