Mandie Zhang

Mandie (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta and a Professional Master of Education from Queen’s University. Her career has been dedicated to supporting student learning and success through individualized academic and learning support.

Mandie began her career as a private tutor before joining NAIT as a professional Math and Physics Tutor, where she helped students build confidence and mastery in challenging subjects. She later transitioned to the role of Learning Strategist at NAIT, collaborating with colleagues to provide individualized support to students with disabilities and to help them develop effective learning strategies tailored to their unique needs.

Mandie describes her career path as “educationally adjacent,” reflecting her passion for working alongside students outside the traditional classroom environment. Throughout her career, she has focused on empowering learners to build the academic, organizational, and self-advocacy skills they need to succeed both in their studies and beyond. She is committed to fostering student confidence, independence, and lifelong learning through personalized, strengths-based support.
