Lauren L

Lauren (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Arts and a postgraduate certificate in Applied Learning Disability Studies. For more than 15 years, she has supported students through accessibility and learning support services, helping them transition from high school to post-secondary education and beyond.

Lauren enjoys helping students find tools and strategies that make learning less overwhelming. She has experience with a wide range of assistive technologies, including Read&Write, Kurzweil 3000, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Inspiration, screen readers, speech-to-text and text-to-speech software, and organization and study apps. She is an active member of the Network Of Assistive Technology (NOAT) and regularly participates in professional learning to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Lauren believes every student learns differently. She loves working alongside students to discover what works for them, build confidence, and develop practical strategies they can use in school and everyday life. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, getting creative with DIY projects and crafts, and learning new things.
