Jennifer

LEARNING COACH

Jennifer is an Associate Professor, working between Canada and New Zealand. In her 21+ years’ of university teaching, she holds two excellence in teaching awards and finds endless joy in teaching her wonderful students. Jennifer has designed curriculum and taught degrees in dance, sports coaching and teaching physical activity. Jennifer has led undergraduate curriculum design teams. Highlights include mentoring sports students in work-integrated learning projects. Her supervision applies student-centred pedagogy and empathetic processes.

Born in Edmonton, Jennifer has danced since training with The Alberta Ballet School. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Alberta, her Master of Fine Arts from Simon Fraser University, and her PhD from Auckland University of Technology. 

As a parent and dancer/athlete recovering from concussion, Jennifer advocates for living well, with an emphasis on care and compassion. Jennifer uses her years of experience to guide post-secondary students to success.
