B.Math, MSc, Ph.D
LEARNING COACH
Ivaldo holds a Ph.D. in mathematics and over 10 years of teaching experience across primary, secondary, and postsecondary levels, including course design, student advising, and accessibility work. At LaSalle College Vancouver, he designs and teaches courses in geometry, statistics, and scripting languages tailored to programs like interior and graphic design.
Since his first teaching experience in a suburb of Brazil, Ivaldo has believed in the transformative power of education. He is currently focused on developing strategies to support students in a fast-paced, information-heavy world where anxiety and distraction are common. A lifelong learner and active community volunteer, Ivaldo brings empathy, rigor, and purpose to every learning experience.
Outside of coaching, Ivaldo is a devoted father who finds joy in spending quiet moments at home with his wife and two daughters. Grounded and humble, he embraces lifelong learning — constantly exploring online courses and reading to expand his knowledge. Passionate about research, he sees education as a continuous journey and a tool for transformation, both personally and within communities.
