Erika holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies and a Master of Science in Developmental Health from the University of Manitoba. She has extensive experience in post-secondary education, having worked as an academic strategist, researcher, course developer, instructor, and academic coordinator. Erika has taught courses exploring developmental health across the lifespan, combining theory with practical, student-centered learning.
For nearly 15 years, Erika served as an Assistive Technologist, where she specialized in helping students identify and use tools to support their learning. This role highlighted her passion for accessibility and inclusive education, as she worked to create equitable and supportive academic environments. Her career has been dedicated to helping students thrive by removing barriers and fostering confidence in their academic abilities.
Outside of her professional life, Erika enjoys spending time with her family and is an active volunteer with a local animal rescue.
