Eric

Originally from Ontario, Eric is currently working as a resource teacher in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western University, he spent several years in the finance industry before deciding to pursue a career in education. 

Upon completing his Bachelor of Education, Eric taught in England for two years which was an incredibly rewarding experience that also allowed him to explore much of Europe. More recently, he completed a Master of Education with a capstone project centered on the gamification of mathematics. His research investigated how incorporating game elements, such as points, badges, levels, and adaptive challenges, can reduce math anxiety, improve academic success and create a more positive learning environment.

Eric has always had a strong passion for mathematics and views himself as a lifelong learner. Outside the classroom, he enjoys playing hockey, kayaking, snowboarding, and relaxing by playing his guitar.
