Learning Coach

Emily earned her Doctorate of Education in 2023, focusing her research on the barriers faced by students with special education needs in K–12 settings. Shortly after, she transitioned to post‑secondary accessibility counselling, where she found her purpose in blending service with advocacy to support learners navigating institutional and academic challenges.

With experience teaching learners across the lifespan—from kindergarten through college—Emily brings a versatile instructional background to her coaching. She is committed to helping students identify barriers, strengthen academic skills, and confidently engage with the supports they need to succeed.

In addition to her work as a learning coach, Emily is a professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa and serves as the Therapeutic Learning Lead at a neuroaffirming private school. Her combined roles in research, teaching, and leadership inform a holistic, student‑centered approach to academic success.
