Ellen holds a Master of Mathematics for Teachers from the University of Waterloo as well as a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba.
Ellen spent 28 years as a high school classroom teacher, working in public, private, and international boarding schools in both Canada and the United States. Primarily, her work was in mathematics in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. She still serves in many roles for the IB, including as a marker, workshop leader, and member of the curriculum development committee. Ellen has also taught economics, French, and Advanced Placement (AP) statistics.
Ellen has extensive experience presenting professional development workshops for teachers. She is very comfortable working with adults in an online environment. As a coach, Ellen takes an analytical, organized approach. She likes to maximize the time together by helping people create clear plans to move forward.
Ellen loves to travel, having visited 39 different countries. This exposure to so many different cultures has taught her that being unique is beautiful.
