Registered Psychologist
Originally from the Yukon, Allison currently resides in Airdrie, Alberta. Allison has been a registered psychologist in Alberta for many years and is currently registered in Ontario, the Yukon and Alberta. Allison recently completed a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program at California Southern University.
Her experience working with high-risk children and youth in the Yukon inspired her to continue that work as a registered psychologist. Allison has worked in northern communities, for public school boards in major city centers and in a variety of private practice settings. Allison is a member of faculty in the School and Applied Child Psychology program at the University of Calgary, in the role of registered psychologist, where she supervises students completing their assessment and counselling practicums in the Centre for Wellbeing in Education.
Allison is the owner, founder and lead psychologist at AXB Psychological Services in Airdrie, which specializes in a wide range of assessments (Psychoeducational, mental health, ADHD, ASD, etc.) and behavioural consultation services. Allison has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with culturally diverse populations and utilizes a strength-based approach in her work. Allison continues to supervise psychometrists and provisional psychologists, helping to enhance the profession of psychology by mentoring future psychologists.
In her free time, Allison enjoys travelling, spending time with her husband and cockapoo Bella, and connecting with family and friends.
