Shanna

Shanna completed her Bachelor of Arts at UBC Okanagan with a double major in English and Psychology, followed by a Bachelor of Education as well. She is a certified BC teacher and is currently completing a Master of Educational Technology through UBC.

With nearly ten years of classroom teaching and fifteen years of overall instructional experience, Shanna brings a thoughtful and student-centred approach to her work. She grounds her practice in her personal teaching philosophy, SEEK—creating learning spaces that are Safe, Encouraging, rooted in Effort, and guided by Kindness. Shanna is passionate about educational equity and is motivated by helping students build confidence, skills, and meaningful pathways toward their goals.

Outside of her professional work, Shanna volunteers annually with Kelowna ComiCon, creating colouring pages for the children’s booth. She loves art, creativity, and the occasional terrible pun. When she’s not coaching or creating, Shanna enjoys cooking, reading, writing, making art, and spending time with her two cats.

Shanna supports MyLearningCoach students as both an Accessibility Coordinator and a Coach.
