Candice

Candice holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in English, along with a certificate in adult and continuing education, all from the University of Victoria. She has over 20 years of experience teaching at the post-secondary level, including academic writing at UVic and Royal Roads University. Candice has also designed courses and supported mid-career adults returning to undergraduate and graduate studies. In 2023, Candice gave a TEDx talk on returning to school mid-career that was featured by TED.

As a learning coach, she draws on her teaching background and certification as a life coach to help students strengthen writing and study skills, build confidence, and develop practical strategies for managing procrastination and self-doubt. She enjoys helping learners find approaches that make academic success both achievable and relevant beyond the classroom.

Based in Sooke, BC, Candice loves exploring local trails, spending time with her two kids, and reading widely.
