LEARNING COACH
Sam completed her PhD in Social Justice Education from the University of Toronto – Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She earned her Master of Arts in Sociology and Equity Studies in Education from the same institution. Sam was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Alberta for two years where she taught political science, human geography, and equity studies.
While writing her dissertation, Sam worked as an instructor, peer mentor, and team leader in the Dissertation Success Program. She brings a deep commitment to social justice and accessibility to her practice, prioritizing the coach-student relationship. She excels in supporting graduate students in figuring out the best way to structure daily work in order to meet their writing goals.
Sam currently works as an Educational Developer where she supports faculty grow their teaching practice, focusing on accessible course and assessment design. Sam is also a parent to a busy toddler.
