Registered Psychologist
Mary Jane is a Registered Psychologist with Henning McKenzie Consulting Ltd. She graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1994 with a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She subsequently completed her doctoral course work and clinical internship in Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta.
She has an extensive background in psychological assessment and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, OCD and behavior problems. She has worked with a broad range of clients, from preschool-aged children to adults in clinical, university and school settings.
In her practice, she works with individuals to identify their strengths, together with their learning and emotional needs. Mary Jane produces user-friendly assessment reports that identify specific learning issues and explore other areas of functioning such as attention skills, daily living skills, emotional well-being and social adjustment.
A former professional athlete, Mary Jane was a Canadian Ironman Champion, and has completed many ultra-endurance running, swimming and cycling events. In her free time, Mary Jane continues with her fitness pursuits and enjoys time with her family.
